“Your first 10,000 photographs are your worst.” — Henri Cartier-Bresson

The First 10,000 project is an exploration of art and life through documentation of my work in and observation of art – primarily photography, music, writing, and theatre.

This project is to be a snapshot of my reality — the grand moments as well as the banal, the breakthroughs and the setbacks, the goals and the diversions — as I document projects and musings that I hope will ultimately lead me to achieve my goal of an artful, truthful life.

About Me

My name is Danielle Hitchcock. I’m a writer, theatre artist, photographer, musician, and an incidental housefrau. I am and have always been a lover of all types of art and I have been working various arts for many years. This life I have built — the interests, passions, plans, thoughts, and daydreams — and how I continue to develop it is what I aim to share, so come along with me. I hope you will enjoy the ride.
